For my universe

It was never enough

like feeling emotions for people

hinders him back.

Behind that black, black heart

there resided a laugh like a child,

look at him now.

It was never enough

like thoughts of persuading the world

with a few dead poems.

Behind the back of his bruises

and scars,

he found the channel to go on,

he used to live at home,

but now you are looking for him.

It was never enough

like believing could be a substitute meal

for love and hope.

Behind the back of his eyelids,

housed were a million tears.

He loves her

to the moon and back,

she could understand,

he used to understand.

He said each of these flaws

and bloodless streams

make more room for the person

that you forget about

in the crowd of your eclectic choices –

the person who fell in love,

the person who denied stumbles,

the person that you let break,

the person you can’t tolerate,

the person you dearly drove back,

the person he will always be,

the person you never let him be.

Everyone, him too,

comes with a purpose,

in a way, he will leave

a piece of him with you.

That’s never a reason to cry.

He said, love her anyway.
