Beams

They saw that a perfect poem

doesn’t give hint as to what

it’s trying to describe-

for instance… when you

talk about the sun-

Do not call it bright.

Do not call it yellow.

 

But like people…

Poems are flawed by nature,

because they are

and will always be

written by humans.

 

I guess what I mean here is…

You’re my bright

and

yellow

sunflower.

 

And I would never pluck you.

You’ve always been beautiful.

Bright and yellow.
